On a bluff above Hilo Bay, this 5,400-square-foot modern home is 2 miles from downtown Hilo, and features four rooms—each with patios, deluxe bedding, and grand ocean views within earshot of the surf. Fresh flowers and artful decor add a warm, tropical touch. Proprietors Maria Macias and Ricardo Zepeda serve a full hot breakfast every morning on an outdoor deck or in the kitchen's bay-window dining area. Guests can watch spinner dolphins from their lanai or migrating whales during whale season. These are ideal accommodations for honeymooners and retired travelers.
