Fodor's Review:

Distinctly unfancy, with linoleum floors and wooden tables, this Tokyo-style spot comes highly recommended for the only thing noodle fanciers care about: authentic, rich broth and fresh udon (wheat) and soba (buckweat) noodles. Hot noodle soup, cold noodles with dipping sauce, and donburi (rice bowls), are offered, plus such specialties as hiya yakko (cold tofu topped with ginger and soy sauce) and Western-style green salad on noodles with sesame dressing. Don't worry -- there's an English-language menu and a fork will appear on your faux lacquer tray without your even having to ask. Portions are sizable; entrées are served with salad, pickles, and clear soup. The small bar stocks beer, sake, shochu (Japanese flavored liquor), and Japanese newspapers.
