Coconut Waikiki Hotel Review

Overlooking the Ala Wai Canal, this reasonably priced boutique hotel is more residential than a typical resort, with a cobblestone driveway, a lobby with rattan living room-style furnishings, and a wall of French doors that open up to a gazebo garden and a tiny swimming pool tucked in a backyard. Its 80 guest rooms and suites were renovated with an art-deco flair. The hotel even has a fully equipped two-bedroom penthouse. Accommodations—either hotel rooms or studios with kitchenettes—are compact but functional with tile flooring instead of carpets. Views from your lanai include the canal and its paddlers by day and the lights of Honolulu's skyline by night. Complimentary Continental breakfast is served in the lobby overlooking the hotel garden. It's a three-block walk to the beach.
