Lahaina Grill Review

At the top of many best-restaurants lists, this expensive, upscale bistro is about as fashionably chic as it gets on Maui. The food and service are consistently excellent and the place is abuzz with beautiful people every night of the week. The Cake Walk (little samples of Kona lobster crab cake, sweet Louisiana rock-shrimp cake, and seared ahi cake), toy-box tomato salad, and Kona-coffee-roasted rack of lamb are a few of the classics customers demand. Newer items include Marcho Farms center cut all-natural veal osso bucco and seared California lion-paw scallops. The full menu—including dessert—is available at the bar. The interior is as pretty as the patrons.

    Same Great Place

    I noticed since the DP's name has been dropped there were no reviews for Lahaina Grill. Shame they had to change the name, (and have DP open another restaurant in Lahaina) but rest assured it is still the same great place! Cramped quarters and bustling w/business! The special Opaka was excellent as well as a special beet salad. Chef Arnie is unsung. They should have been touting their actual chef all these years because every time my wife and I go we get one of his specials and it is always fantastic! The reason for the 2 in value is quite simple. This is the most expensive place in Lahaina by far. Way overpriced. That part hasn't changed either.
