West Town Tavern Review

While it's a little off the beaten path, you can trust that your cabbie will know how to get you here, and it's worth the trip. The handsome wood bar and brick walls may be tavern staples, but the open kitchen and oversize dining-room mirror give the (correct) impression that you'll find more than just cheeseburgers. The menu delivers with a mix of upscale comfort foods (try the house-made potato chips with balsamic syrup and Parmesan cheese—and pizza-style flat breads) and gussied-up fare like duck confit and pepper-crusted beef tenderloin in a zinfandel sauce. The focused wine list globe-trots for value.
