Leslie Hindman Auctioneers Review

Antiques hunters with fat wallets may want to check the schedule at this fine-art auctioneer on Lake Street. It's the fifth-largest auction house in the country. Auctions include 20th-century decorative arts, American and European works of art, and fine jewelry and timepieces.

    Bad Experience

If you are an on-line bidder, according to Leslie Hindman, whether you are placing bids on 1 item or 100 items, it is your responsibility to ask if the item has some damage that cannot be seen in the photo. So if you are bidding on dozens of items as I usually do, this means that you would have to put more time in when dealing with Leslie Hindman by sending an email for every lot you are interested in and if you don't and you receive your item only to discover that the back of the cigarette case has a big crack in it for example, Leslie Hindman will tell you that it is your responsibility to ask if an item is damaged. This is what happened to me and they stuck it to me. They have great stuff though do understand what you as a customer mean to them as they will boast how they are one of the largest Auction houses in the country assuring you that you are a mere drop in the bucket.
