Hotel Burnham Review

This historic property, built in 1895 by D. H. Burnham and Co. as the Reliance Building, retains original details that include Carrara marble wainscoting, terrazzo floors, and mahogany trim. Guest rooms, which were once offices, are compact with some more-spacious corner rooms available. But we'll overlook the lack of wiggle room thanks to perks like the "pillow library," which offers everything from firm to hypoallergenic pillows. On the ground floor, the Atwood Café has a stylish mahogany bar and serves contemporary American fare, including its popular potpies.

    Girls weekend

My girlfriends and I stayed for a weekend for a girls week in the City. Our rooms and the stay at the hotel was wonderful. The hotel suite we stayed in was very nice. The location of the hotel was perfect for all the sights and activities we took in with the city. Perfect weekend

    Loved It!

My wife and I spent a few days at The Burnham to celebrate our anniversary and it was the perfect spot. We booked a small suite, and while the room was fairly small it was well appointed and the view was great. From one window we looked up State Street toward the Chicago Theatre. From the other, we looked down Washington toward Millenium Park.
The building itself is something to behold. More than 100 years old, The Reliance Building plays and important role in the history of Chicago architeture.
Perhaps most impressive however, is the service at the Burnham. From the minute you check in, the staff greets you by name and asks if there is anything you need. I've never had better service anywhere.
A wonderful place to visit if you have the chance.
