Ritz-Carlton Chicago Review

Perched over Water Tower Place, Michigan Avenue's best-known shopping mall, the luxurious Ritz-Carlton specializes in showering guests with attention, and its rooms are spacious, with walk-in closets and separate dressing areas. Parents are in luck, since the hotel provides complimentary use of items such as cribs, children's DVDs, books, and toys, to name a few. A fitness center, indoor pool, and spa services are close at hand, too, The 12th-floor grand lobby is done in light gold and earth tones with Art Nouveau touches, marble flooring, and a central sky-lit fountain.

Ritz is part of MARRIOTT and it shows

although the lobby is still magnificent and the location unbeatable, the changes that are obvious after the merger with marriott are not positive. staff is still ok but not like before. one can feel the faded glory of the past but it is no longer the RITZ
