Chicago Restaurants

Han 202 Review

Tasting menus tend to come with sky-high prices, but that's not the case at this BYOB spot in Chicago's Bridgeport neighborhood, just south of Chinatown. For a flat $20 you get five courses, which can progress from a small cup of spicy snow crab soup to Shanghai dumplings, sweet walnut shrimp, and spicy-sweet Chilean sea bass, ending with a small sweet bite, like a chocolate truffle. While portions aren't overwhelming, they are satisfying. Compared with the low-key entrance, the dining room is sleeker—and more comfortable—than you'd expect, making the southward trek all the more worthwhile.
