Columns Hotel's Victorian Lounge Bar Review
An Old Fashioned or a Sazerac on the expansive front porch of the Columns Hotel, shaded by centuries-old oak trees, overlooking the St. Charles Avenue streetcar route, and crowded with Uptown gentry decked out in preppy attire, ranks as one of New Orleans' most traditional experiences. The Victorian Lounge, with its restored period decor and a fireplace, has a decaying elegance marred only by the television above the bar. Live jazz combos play Monday through Friday.
