This is a huge and attractive RV campground with a lot of amenities, including full hookups, wireless access, and areas for swimming, boating, and fishing on a 740-acre lake. Boats -- canoes, motorboats, paddleboats, and kayaks -- and bikes are available for rent. In addition to the RV and tent sites, there are rental cabins (with fire ring and bathroom outside) and one cottage (with kitchen and bath inside). Tent sites run $20-$28 per night, while RV site rates are $25-$44. Cabins are $50-$85 per night, and cottages are a weekly rate of $1,100. Weekends bring live entertainment and blueberry-pancake breakfasts on Saturday morning. Pros: Full-service and fun activities like ice-cream socials and hayrides. Con: If you like to dine out for dinner, you will need to drive. Note: Patten Pond is affiliated with Bar Harbor Camping Resorts, which opened Narrows Too campground and RV park in 2007. It also is full-service with a host of activities and amenities. It is located at 1150 Bar Harbor Road, but uses the same phone number and Web site as Patten Pond.
