Fodor's Review:
Inside the stucco-and-timber walls of this traditional Tudor cottage, antiques are juxtaposed with contemporary country pieces; vibrant color with French country wallpapers; and abstract art with folk creations. The combination not only works -- it shines. Though the property is small, rooms are large with ample windows; many have fireplaces, and some have decks. Breakfast is an elaborate multicourse affair. The popular "A Yellow House" across the drive has six additional rooms decorated in traditional old Bar Harbor style. Pro: Lovely setting. Con: No views from rooms.

Perfect stay!

Stayed in the Yellow House recently. All of the staff was warm and welcoming. The location in Bar Harbor can't be beat! Evening wine and cheese with fellow guests is really charming. Breakfast was out of this world!!! And Roy's knowlege of the island and hikes is amazing! We will defintely stay here again.
