Sand Beach

Fodor's Review:
This small stretch of pink sand is one of the few sandy beaches on the island. A lifeguard is on duty from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Although people do swim here, the water temperature rarely exceeds 55°F. Rest rooms and changing facilities are available. You may recognize this beach from the movie The Cider House Rules. Caution: the water here is cold.
