Portland Fish Exchange Review
You may want to hold your nose for this glimpse into the Old Port's active fish business when you drop by the 20,000-square-foot Portland Fish Exchange. Peek inside coolers teeming with cod, flounder, and monkfish and watch fishermen repairing nets outside. Auctions take place Sunday through Thursday at 11am, and while these days most buyers bid online, you can follow the action on a computer screen in the lobby. The exchange opens at 7 and closes up around 3 or 4.
