Morrill Mansion Review

Portland's newest B&B has tastefully appointed rooms with well-executed color schemes: blue is a favorite accent color here. Thoughtful touches abound, like well-stocked snack areas where you may find whoopie pies made by the hands-on innkeeper-owner. Once the home of the owner of a landmark baked bean factory, the 1850s brick Italianate transitioned well to an inn. Several guest rooms have foyers that increase privacy, and the original master bedroom and sitting room form a two-room suite. With features like jetted tubs and ceramic tile showers, the baths stand out. Breakfast is served buffet-style in the original dining room.
