York's Wild Kingdom

York's Wild Kingdom Review

Between the zoo and the carnival rides, it's sometimes hard to distinguish the wild animals from the kids here. The zoo, ringed by woods, has an impressive variety of exotic animals and is home to the state's only white Bengal tiger. The amusement park has a nostalgic charm. Combination tickets can be purchased to visit the zoo and ride the amusements, and discounts are available for kids under 13—the target market, since there are no large thrill rides. Nor is there a charge to enter the amusement park, which also sells ride tokens. Many York Beach visitors come just to enjoy the ocean views from the Ferris wheel and share (hopefully!) the "seaboard's largest fried dough."
