The Goldenrod

The Goldenrod Review

If you wanted to—and you are on vacation—you could eat nothing but the famous taffy here, made just about the same way today as it was back in 1896. The famous Goldenrod Kisses, some 50 tons of which are made per year, are a great attraction, and people line the windows to watch the taffy being made. Aside from the famous candy (there's penny candy, too), this eating place is family oriented, very reasonably priced, and a great place to get ice cream from the old-fashioned soda fountain. Breakfast is served all day, while the simple lunch menu of sandwiches and burgers doubles as dinner, along with a handful of entrees like baked haddock and meatloaf.
