Flo's Steamed Hot Dogs

Flo's Steamed Hot Dogs Review

Yes, it seems crazy to highlight a hot-dog stand, but this is no ordinary place. Who would guess that a hot dog could make it into Saveur and Gourmet magazines? There is something grand about this shabby, red-shingle shack that has been dealing dogs since 1959. The line is out the door most days, but this place is so efficient that the wait isn't long. Flo has passed on, but her son and daughter-in-law keep the business going, selling countless thousands of hot dogs each year. The classic here has mayo and the special sauce—consisting of, among other things, onions and molasses (you can buy a bottle to take home, and you'll want to).
