Mabel's Lobster Claw Review

Since the 1950s Mabel's has been serving lobsters, homemade pies, and lots of seafood for lunch and dinner in this tiny dwelling out on Ocean Avenue. Decor includes paneled walls, wooden booths, autographed photos of various TV stars (plus members of the Bush family). There's outside seating, too, and paper place mats that illustrate how to eat a Maine lobster. The house favorite is the Lobster Savannah—split and filled with scallops, shrimp, and mushrooms and baked in a Newburg sauce. Save room for the peanut-butter ice-cream pie. There's also a take-out window where you can order ice cream and food.

    Mabel's Lobster Claw Review

Service a bit rushed on a Saturday night, perhaps understandably. Good steamed lobster; was the butter really butter? Coleslaw was nothing special. Great blueberry pie.
