The Captain Lord Mansion Review

Of all the mansions in Kennebunkport's historic district that have been converted to inns, the 1814 Captain Lord Mansion is the stateliest and most sumptuously appointed. Distinctive architecture, including a three-story elliptical staircase, gas fireplaces in all rooms, and near-museum-quality accoutrements make for a formal but not stuffy setting. Eight rooms have whirlpool or jetted tubs. The extravagant three-room suite has two fireplaces, a double whirlpool, a hydro-massage body spa, a TV/DVD and stereo system, and a king-size canopy bed. Day-spa services are available for added luxury. A neighboring 1807 house with four guest rooms is also part of the inn.

    PAINFUL EXPERIENCE

    Rude, rude, rude. Save yourself some pain... The owner, Rick, was one of the most disparaging individuals I've ever experienced in the customer service, hospitality business. Really sad being that the staff is comprised of wonderful people.
