Peacock House Review

Five generations of the Peacock family lived in this white-clapboard house a few blocks up from downtown before it was converted into an inn. With a large foyer, library, and living room, the 1860 sea captain's home has plenty of places where you can relax. Minglers are drawn to the sunroom, which opens to the deck and has a handsome bar. Antique pieces accent the tasteful, uncluttered decor. The best of the guest rooms is essentially an open-plan suite, with a separate sitting area, wet bar, refrigerator, gas fireplace, and four-poster bed.
