Noble House Inn Review

In town but on a quiet road, this 1903 estate above Highland Lake beach offers convenience and quietude. State Senator Winburn Staples (1855-1939) built this home on large grounds that include a pine grove. Relax on the veranda, garden-side patio, or beside fireplaces in the living room and den. Distinctive beds—canopy, sleigh, high four-posters—have 600-thread-count sheets. Most of the nine rooms and suites have Jacuzzi tubs; some have a private porch, balcony, or French doors to a patio. Sumptuous breakfasts include seasonal foods: strawberry bread, pumpkin and cream cheese petits fours, produce from the organic garden.
