Western Gateway Heritage State Park

Western Gateway Heritage State Park Review

This park occupies the old Boston & Maine Railroad yard, where the visitor center houses exhibits that trace the impact of train travel on the region. A 30-minute documentary provides a look at the intense labor that went into the construction of the nearby Hoosac Tunnel, and a pedestrian bridge a block from the park offers a good view of tracks going into tunnel.
