Harvard Square Hotel

Fodor's Review:

Want to be in Harvard Square and not pay the big bucks? If you'll settle for basic lodgings in a great location, you won't go wrong at this nondescript property that feels more dormitory than hotel. Just steps from the neighborhood's many restaurants, shops, and lively street corners, the hotel has simple but clean rooms, with refrigerators and Internet access. The desk clerks are particularly helpful, assisting with everything from sending faxes to securing dinner reservations. Pros: Location can't be beat, some windows open for fresh air. Cons: Rooms need updating and baths are small (many with exposed pipes); Wi-Fi, in-lobby computer use, and parking cost extra.

  • Hotel Details: 73 rooms
  • In-room: safe, refrigerator, Internet, Wi-Fi.
  • In-hotel: laundry service, public Wi-Fi, parking (paid).
  • Credit Cards: AE, D, DC, MC, V
  • Metro: Harvard
