Inn@St. Botolph Review

Like its sister property, XV Beacon, the 16-room inn packs plenty of style. Unlike XV Beacon, it follows a groundbreaking new hotel model: There's no front desk, no restaurant, and no valet (there is, however, an office on-site that is staffed 24/7). Guests book and pay online, eliminating the need for agonizingly slow check-ins or long lines. Each room feels like the chicest city apartment you never had, decorated in black, white, and chocolate tones by local design luminaries. The four-poster beds are heavenly, so is the deep leather seating. Every room also comes with a full kitchen, a fireplace, Frette robes, and a gigantic flat-screen TV. Set on a quiet residential street lined with flowering trees and brownstones, the inn is a short walk from the South End and Back Bay. Best of all, for all the at-home-style luxury you get, you'll pay half of what you would at a nearby hotel. Just remember to book early. The St. Botolph fills up fast with fashionable clients who know how to spot a hot deal.
