Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro Review

Looking for a home away from home? Or, rather, a full-service version of home where you hardly have to lift a finger (unless it's to dial room service)? Housed in two meticulously renovated 19th-century brick town houses, this intimate Charles Street hotel is within walking distance of the Public Garden, Back Bay, Government Center, and the river Esplanade. Minimalist-style rooms were updated in January 2011 and are individually decorated with soft neutral colors and plush bed linens; each has plenty of natural light thanks to large windows overlooking city streets. There's a petite rooftop deck for lounging and a popular street-side bistro that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Underground public parking is available beneath the nearby Boston Commons.
