Clear Flour Bread
Clear Flour Bread Review
Finding this bakery on a small Brookline side street can be tough—if you don't have a GPS, follow the online directions carefully—and then finding parking is tougher still. But Clear Flour rewards the persistent with delicious croissants both sweet (chocolate) and savory (Gruyère), brioches, and European-style crusty breads like a Gorgonzola-walnut fougasse. While strictly a bakery (there are no sit-down meals or sandwiches), Clear Flour is a perfect weekend option for decadent, Euro-style goodies. You'll come for the scones and sticky buns, and leave with a couple of loaves of pesto foccacia and polenta bread to get you through the week.
