This "urban tavern" established itself quickly in 2009, with a buzzy opening fete and an upscale twist on tavern fare like grilled atlantic swordfish, skirt steak, and chocolate cake bread pudding. Mac and cheese and a Scotch egg draw comfort-food seekers. More than 200 wines, 12 beers on tap, and a host of craft cocktails give tipplers good reason to make frequent visits. The open kitchen, four-sided fireplace, and reasonable prices are inviting enough to turn everyone else into regulars, too.
