Hours of Operation
Banks are generally open weekdays 9 am to 4 or 5 pm, plus Saturday 9 am to noon or 1 pm at some branches. Public buildings are open weekdays 9 to 5.
Although hours vary quite a bit, most museums are open Monday through Saturday 9 or 10 to am to 5 or 6 pm and Sunday noon to 5 pm. Some are closed one day a week, usually Monday.
Major pharmacy chains—Brooks, CVS, and Walgreens—are generally open daily between 7 or 9:30 am and 8 or 10 pm; independently owned pharmacies tend to close earlier. Some are open 24/7.
Boston stores are generally open Monday through Saturday 10 or 11 am to 6 or 7 pm, closing later during the holiday-shopping season. Mall shops often stay open until 9 or 10 pm; malls and some tourist areas may also be open Sunday noon-5 or 6 pm.
