Whydah Pirate Museum

Whydah Pirate Museum Review

On MacMillan Wharf, this museum is a home for artifacts recovered from the pirate ship Whydah, which sank off the coast of Wellfleet in 1717. The tiny museum is entertaining and educational, with one display on the restoration and conservation processes and another on the untold story of the 18th-century pirating life. The curators hope to eventually collect all the recovered pieces; some are on loan to other museums across the country.
