Post Office Cafe Review

A dapper yet casual bistro beneath Provincetown's favorite cabaret bar, the Post Office serves food most nights until 1 am, making it one of the area's best options for late-night snacking. The kitchen turns out a mix of substantial but straightforward American entrées, such as scallops Alfredo, along with lighter pub favorites. Sandwiches are a specialty; consider the grilled yellowfin tuna and greens on focaccia, or the grilled portobello mushroom with artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, feta cheese, and mixed greens on a pita. The place becomes increasingly festive—even a little raucous—the later it gets.

    Only Had Lunch

Our only exprience with the Post Office Cafe was a late lunch on a weekday. We were four and there was only one other table occupied. My sandwich (a pastrami Reuben) was one of the best I have ever had. The rest of our party was well satisfied with the quality of the food and the price which was a tad high but not outrageous.

The waiters (we had 2 of them) were very friendly and joked around without being offensive. In general, we enjoyed ourselves and the food we ate. We want to go back for an evening meal some day and taste the entrees.
