Brewster Store

Brewster Store Review

Built in 1852 as a church, this local landmark is a typical New England general store with such essentials as the daily papers, groceries, penny candy, gifts, and benches out front for conversation. Out back, the Brewster Scoop serves ice cream mid-June to early September. Upstairs, memorabilia from antique toys to World War II bond posters is displayed. Downstairs there's a working antique nickelodeon; locals warm themselves by the old coal stove in the colder months.
