Chillingsworth Review

One of the crown jewels of Cape restaurants, Chillingsworth combines formal presentation with an excellent French menu and a diverse wine cellar to create a memorable dining experience. Super-rich risotto, roast lobster, and grilled Angus sirloin are favorites. Dinner in the main dining rooms is prix-fixe and includes seven courses—appetizer, soup, salad, sorbet, entrée, "amusements," and dessert, plus coffee or tea. Less-expensive à la carte options for lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch are served in the more casual, patio-style Bistro. There are also a few guest rooms here for overnighting.

    Really excellent

    The food here is excellent. Try the mac and cheese with truffle. Yummy. Really perfect for a special meal.

    OVERPRICED AND A STUFFY ATMOSPHERE

    I'm sorry to say, my wife and did NOT enjoy
    this restaurant. We thought the waitstaff was overbearing (2 kids hovering over your table) with little knowledge of food or serving. I admit, I enjoy cooking and may not be easy to please, but on this night, perhaps an off nite for them, was an insult to fine dining. Try the Red Pheasant or Front Street for better results and value!
