If you're traveling with children who need space to run, this gray-shingle motel on 5 acres is a dependable option. The rooms face a broad green lawn that slopes down to the bay; it's a great place to launch your canoe or kayak, or head out in one of the motel's paddleboats. The rooms are decidedly basic, with standard furnishings that are being continually updated and refreshed. All have refrigerators and coffeemakers, and some have microwaves; others have kitchenettes. The motel is in a quiet residential neighborhood.
