The Beacon Room Review
Adorned with crisp linens, frilly curtains, and wood furnishings, this homey cottage bistro serves up a nice mix of seafood and meats enhanced with sophisticated and inventive flavors. Start with the Gorgonzola, sun-dried cranberry, and walnut salad, then move on to pan-seared scallops with Parmesan risotto or pecan-crusted venison with a sauce of red zinfandel and pan drippings. In warmer months, dinner on the garden patio is particularly urbane. An ambitious wine list complements the fine selection. There is a call-ahead waiting list for busy summer nights.
