By Bus
The big buses of the Martha's Vineyard Transit Authority (VTA) provide regular service to all six towns on the island, with frequent stops in peak season and very limited service in winter. The fare is $1 per town, including the town of departure. One-day ($6), three-day ($15), one-week ($25), and one-month ($40) passes are available at the Edgartown Visitors Center. The VTA also has two free in-town shuttle-bus routes, one in Edgartown and one in Vineyard Haven.
