Corazón del Mar

Corazón del Mar Review

When Seth and Angela Raynor develop a new culinary passion, they tend to open a new shrine. Complementing the Boarding House (Mediterranean market cuisine) and the Pearl (Asian street food) comes the resplendent Corazón del Mar (literally translated as "Heart of the Sea"). It serves rarefied dishes, the likes of which you'd have a tough time finding in Mexico. Seth combed the country with his surfing buddies for inspiration, and the results span creative tapas, ceviches, and tacos especiales (including one packing chili-braised duck leg, sautéed foie gras, and pickled mango salsa). Platos principales include crispy pork with a mildly spicy green sauce. It might take all summer to fully explore the options, even with regular visits to the takeout window.
