Brant Point Grill Review

With its beautiful broad lawn overlooking the harbor, the Brant Point Grill—in-house restaurant for the elegant White Elephant hotel—ventures beyond its à la carte haute-steak house menu with various "Creativities," the best of which is a free-form lobster ravioli in a luscious pool of parsnip puree. Always appealing is the straightforward salmon grilled on a fire cone set up right outside, and the sprightly salads, such as an exemplary white-anchovy Caesar. The desserts (e.g., a trio of mini-whoopie pies) are surefire resolution-destroyers, as is the Sunday brunch, featuring a make-your-own Bloody Mary station.
