This ethnic eatery, which is small, tastefully understated, and a little out of the way, serves up some of the best authentic Vietnamese cuisine in the city at wallet-pleasing prices. Enjoy full-of-flavor, made-from-scratch soups, the shrimp cakes with shredded yam, and the vermicelli dishes. There are lots of rice dishes and vegetarian options, as well as house specialties like the delectable fried soft-shell crab or the Vietnamese "happy pancake," a rice batter crepe stuffed with shrimp and chicken. Just be warned that you'll have to drive through Springfield's infamously bad intersection, "The X."
