Lewistown Chokecherry Festival

Lewistown Chokecherry Festival Review

Nearly half the town—and several hundred visitors from across the country—turn out each year for the Lewistown Chokecherry Festival. Held the first Saturday after Labor Day, the annual harvest celebration includes arts and crafts booths, a farmers' market, a cook-off starring the wild-growing sour fruit, and a variety of contests for visitors of all ages, including a chokecherry pit-spitting contest that awards distance and accuracy.
