Ichiza has developed a cult following for its sublimely delicious, authentic Japanese fare. Open daily until 3 am and jam-packed at all hours, this modest space is on the second floor a shopping centers in the city's Little Asia section along Spring Mountain Road. Seating is at the bar, in a few booths, or at a pair of wooden communal tables. Look beyond the traditional menu of sushi and noodle bowls and instead study the hundreds of signs (written in both English and Japanese) pasted on the walls of this boisterous restaurant, each listing a daily special. Red snapper carpaccio, salmon-skin salad, skewered gingko nut, wasabi-green bean tempura, and stir-fried calamari with ginger butter are a few notables you're likely to see many nights—it's best to order with a sense of adventure.
