The Crystal Quail Review
This four-table BYOB restaurant with seating for 12, inside an 18th-century farmhouse, is worth the drive for the sumptuous meals prepared by longtime proprietors Harold and Cynthia Huckaby, who use free-range meats and mostly organic produce and herbs in their cooking. The prix-fixe menu changes daily but might include saffron-garlic soup, a house pâté, mushroom and herb quail, or goose confit with apples and onions. No credit cards are accepted.
