You'll be surprised how contemporary this center-of-the-action, across-from-the-beach hotel is, even though it's been around for a century. Most rooms have decks, but request a beachside room for an ocean view; otherwise you'll look out onto the pool or street. The Sand Bar ($), on the roof deck between the hotel's two buildings, is a great place to watch the town's fireworks each Wednesday and have food and drinks.
