Albacore Park
Albacore Park Review
The USS Albacore, built here in 1953, is docked at this museum/visitor center in Albacore Park. You can board the prototype submarine, which was a floating laboratory designed to test an innovative hull design, dive brakes, and sonar systems for the Navy. The nearby Memorial Garden and its reflecting pool are dedicated to those who have lost their lives in submarine service.
