If you're visiting someone at the academy and want to stay in a B&B, we recommend this place in the heart of town. Rooms are individually furnished—to the extreme. Behind one door is floral Victorian. The Lakeheath Lodge room takes a rustic outdoorsy approach, with exposed ceiling beams and antlers over the brick fireplace and pine boughs strung over the headboard. Pillows are piled in profusion atop Ralph Lauren sheets. Character and comfort are constants in all rooms, including crystal decanters of port. It's one of the best B&Bs in the state.
