Historical features such as oversize arched windows, high ceilings, and a classic exterior remain in this former factory building, but the lobby is a cross-cultural affair mixing marble and Asian accents. Many Europeans and young budget travelers are drawn by the reasonable rates and proximity to Chinatown, NoLita, and SoHo. The rooms are standard issue, but clean and well maintained, and they do have nice touches like in-room coffeemakers and CD players. The staff is well trained and works hard to please. Nearby is bustling Canal Street.

the hotel is in a good location for shopping in SoHo and Canal Street. Our room was on the 7th floor and if I stayed there again, I would request a higher floor due to "hum" of subway at night.
