The Nolitan Hotel Review

A welcome addition to an underserved neighborhood, the Nolitan combines a hip, slightly gritty, city feel with some luxe touches, but don't expect a lot of space to spread out. Guest rooms have exposed, distressed-cement ceilings and walls and spartan modern decor; west-facing rooms have unobstructed views of the Empire State Building. When the opaque divider between the glass bathroom wall and the bedroom is left open, showers are directly exposed to the sleeping area—though it does make the room look bigger. Everything from the art to the robes is for sale, if you're looking for souvenirs.
