Carolina Beach Review
With ice-cream cones and paddleboats, flashing arcade lights and seashell souvenirs, Carolina Beach's old-fashioned boardwalk is steeped in nostalgic charm. Hand-holding, outdoor movies, and bicycles built for two are still favorite pastimes here. That's not to say you won't find adventure. Stalk giant game fish offshore aboard a choice charter boat. Join surfers riding the waves or skateboarders and in-line lovers winding the local skate park. Amenities: food and drink, lifeguards, parking. Best for: sunrise, sunset, surfing, swimming, windsurfing.
