Deschutes Brewery & Public House

Deschutes Brewery & Public House Review

Bendites are fiercely loyal to their city's original brewpub, established in 1988. Not only does the Brewery bake its own bread and pizza dough (adding in its own spent grain), it makes its sausages, sauces, mustards, dressings, soups, etc. House favorites include sweet-and-spicy mac and cheese and fish-and-chips. Though the always-popular Black Butte Porter is a Public House classic, Deschutes brews a diverse lineup of craft beers, including such seasonals as Jubelale (winter holidays) and Twilight Ale (summer). It is almost always hopping, and you may find yourself waiting to be seated, as there are no reservations. However, time flies as you sip one of 19 Deschutes beers on tap and people-watch the boisterous crowd while you wait.
