Rogue River Creamery

Rogue River Creamery Review

Just a few miles up the road from Medford in the small and otherwise drab little town of Central Point, you'll find one of the nation's most respected cheese makers, Rogue River Creamery, which was started in 1935 by Italian immigrants. Current owners Cary Bryant and David Gremmels bought the company in 2002, and promptly won one of the highest honors for cheese making, the London World Cheese Award. You can purchase any of the company's stellar cheeses here, from Smokey Blue to a lavender-infused cheddar, and you can watch the production through a window on most days. There's a wine-tasting room that carries vintages by a few local vineyards; the best nearby place to enjoy a picnic is the small neighborhood park a few blocks north at Laurel and North 6th streets.
